Property Tax Information

Summer and winter taxes are collected by Ray Township.  Winter taxes are mailed out December 1 and can be paid through February 28 without penalty or interest. Summer taxes are mailed July 1 and can be paid through September 13 without penalty or interest.  From September 14th until February 28, interest of 1% a month, or fraction of a month, will be added to all summer taxes.

Taxes can be paid in person at the Township Offices at 64255 Wolcott during regular business hours, 9am to 5 pm, Monday through Thursday.  Taxes can also be deposited after business hours into the drop box at the Township Office, or can be paid at the Huntington Bank branches at 64961 Van Dyke at 30 Mile Road or at 8155 26 Mile road at Van Dyke.  Taxes can also be mailed to:

After the last legal business day for tax collections, the Macomb County Treasurer will collect all delinquent taxes. Please call Macomb County Treasurer’s Office for delinquent tax information, at (586) 469-5190.

To calculate taxes                                                                                             

For a home in the Armada School District with a Taxable Value (TV) of $100,000, with a Principal Residence exemption, the taxes would be calculated as such:

Summer 2010 taxes:   100 (per $1000 of TV) x $8.1005 = $810.05

Dog Licenses                                                                                                     

Dog license applications are available at www.macombcountymi.gov\animalshelter\index.html.   Applications must be mailed or taken in person to the Macomb County Animal Shelter, 21417 Dunham, Clinton Township, MI 48036. The Animal Shelter phone number is (586) 469-5115.

If mailing in the application, be sure to include: valid rabies vaccination certificate, proof of spay/neuter if not on the certificate, check or money order, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Make checks payable to: Macomb County Health Department.

All dogs four months of age or older must be licensed.

Current Fee (2010):
Male or female - $15.00               Unsexed - $10.00

After April 30, licenses are delinquent and all licenses are $30.00.

The Macomb County Animal Shelter will automatically mail renewal license applications to anyone who currently has a license.
