WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY

Please note that if all four Ray Township school districts are closed, ALL SENIOR ACTIVITIES WILL BE CANCELLED FOR THAT DAY. Please check your LOCAL NEWS for closings, as this will not be posted on our website. If Armada, New Haven, Romeo, and Utica schools are closed, the Senior Center will be closed.

Below are the upcoming events we have planned. Please stop by the Township Office to register. ALL EVENTS BELOW REQUIRE PREREGISTRATION. Payment is required at the time of registration. Senior trips are non-refundable unless cancelled by the Township.

MYSTERY MEALS

LUNCHES - December 4th, January 8th, February 26th 

EARLY DINNERS - October 23rd, November 6th and 20th (limited space available)

CUISINE NIGHT - February 12th (Mexican)

We will enjoy lunch at a surprise location. The cost is $2.oo and you pay for whatever you order to eat. Space is limited to 12 participants.

CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON - December 9th at 11:30 am 

Calling all Ray Township Seniors! Join us for a joyful Christmas luncheon filled with good food, great company, and plenty of holiday cheer. Event highlights include a delicious hot catered lunch, fun holiday games, and festive entertainment. Please preregister by December 2nd. Space is limited. Cost is $8.

WHITE HORSE INN AND HOLIDAY LIGHTS - December 18th departing at 3:00 pm - Trip is Full

We will enjoy a curated dinner menu at the historic White Horse Inn in Metamora and view the Magic of Holiday Lights at Pine Knob. Cost is $15 and you pay for your dinner.

ONGOING SENIOR ACTIVITIES

WE WILL HAVE A SENIOR SOCIAL AND BINGO IN OUR SENIOR CENTER EVERY TUESDAY AT 11:00 AM. COME AND JOIN US!

* Free blood pressure checks on September 2nd, October 7th, and November 18th.

THERE WILL NOT BE SENIOR SOCIAL AND BINGO ON DECEMBER 24TH or 30TH.

 

EXERCISE CLASSES

Get moving with in-person instruction that is aligned with the needs of participants.
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am - 10:30am

SENIOR EXERCISE CLASS IS CANCELLED ON DECEMBER 24TH & 30TH.

 

 

The Senior Center is generally available Monday and Wednesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and Thursday 10:45 am - 4:30 pm for any senior groups that would like to gather to play cards, games, do crafts, or other social activities. Please feel free to enjoy this heated and air-conditioned space. Call the office at 586-749-5171 ext. 204 to confirm availability.

 

 

 

RECREATION EVENTS

Save the date for our upcoming events...

Tree Lighting - December 3rd at 7:00 p.m.

Join us as we welcome in the holiday season with Santa stopping by to light our tree. Children can visit with him, take photos, or leave a letter in Santa's mailbox which will be outside the Township Office until December 18th.
