Township of Ray, The Jewel of Macomb County, MI

Ray Township Fire and Rescue is a professional paid on call department. It was established in 1975 and is centrally located in the township at the corners of 29 Mile and Wolcott Roads. It is fully staffed and equipped to handle any and all fire and rescue emergencies.

All emergency calls are handled through the county wide 911 system.

Burn Permit and Ordinance

Ray Township has an Open and Outdoor Burning Ordinance - 53. This ordinance allows residents to obtain a burning permit that will expire on December 31st of each year. There is a Burning Permit application that needs to be completely filled out and submitted before the yearly permit can begin.

FIRE & RESCUE SMART 911

Most 911 calls are made from a cellular phone, with very little information provided to a 911 dispatcher.
With Smart 911 call takers and first responders will have valuable information that will help to facilitate the proper response to your location.
Sign up at www.smart911.com. There is no cost, include your address, vehicles you own, medical alerts, emergency contacts, access information, download photos of your pets or family. You can create your own safety profile so when you call 911 your safety profile is automatically displayed to the 911 call taker.
