WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY

Please note that if all four Ray Township school districts are closed, ALL SENIOR ACTIVITIES WILL BE CANCELLED FOR THAT DAY. Please check your LOCAL NEWS for closings, as this will not be posted on our website. If Armada, New Haven, Romeo, and Utica schools are closed, the Senior Center will be closed.

Below are the upcoming events we have planned. Please stop by the Township Office to register. ALL EVENTS BELOW REQUIRE PREREGISTRATION. Payment is required at the time of registration. Senior trips are non-refundable unless cancelled by the Township.

MYSTERY MEALS

LUNCHES - March 12th, April 9th & 23rd, May 21st

EARLY DINNERS - May 7th (limited space available)

CUISINE THEME DINNER - ASIAN - March 26th 

We will enjoy lunch at a surprise location. The cost is $2.oo and you pay for whatever you order to eat. Space is limited to 12 participants.

FORD PIQUETTE PLANT TOUR & LUNCH - Thursday, March 19th Departure: 10:00am Return: 3:30pm 

Visit the birthplace of the Ford Model T. This U.S. National Historic Landmark is recognized as one of the most significant automotive heritage sites in the world. We will have a unique lunch experience at the Polish Village Cafe in Hamtramck. Space is limited. Cost of tour and transportation is $22 and you pay for your lunch.

DETROIT INSTITUTE OF ARTS - Melodies at the Museum Thursday, April 30th 

Join us for a lunch at the Ray Township Senior Center before boarding a bus to the DIA. Trip includes a live music performance. Cost is $7 per person

BELLE ISLE AQUARIUM & WHITCOMB CONSERVATORY - Thursday, May 28th (Trip is full)

Join us for lunch at Andrews on the Corner in Detroit followed by a trip to Belle Isle and the Whitcomb Conservatory. The trip departs Ray Township at 10:30am and returns around 4:30. The cost is $15. You pay for your own lunch.

DETROIT TIGERS BASEBALL - Thursday, June 11th 11:30am - 5pm 

Enjoy a game at Comerica Park as the Tigers take on the Minnesota Twins. The cost is $48.00 trip includes ticket and transportation. 

ONGOING SENIOR ACTIVITIES

WE WILL HAVE A SENIOR SOCIAL AND BINGO IN OUR SENIOR CENTER EVERY TUESDAY AT 11:00 AM. COME AND JOIN US!

* Free blood pressure checks on March 3rd, April 7th & May 5th 

March 10th 11am to noon - Senior Fraud and Scam Prevention training hosted by the Michigan State Police

 

EXERCISE CLASSES

Get moving with in-person instruction that is aligned with the needs of participants.
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am - 10:30am

SENIOR EXERCISE CLASS IS CANCELLED ON DECEMBER 24TH & 30TH.

 

 

The Senior Center is generally available Monday and Wednesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and Thursday 10:45 am - 4:30 pm for any senior groups that would like to gather to play cards, games, do crafts, or other social activities. Please feel free to enjoy this heated and air-conditioned space. Call the office at 586-749-5171 ext. 204 to confirm availability.
